My Makeup & Storage collection! (Muji containers)

Hi everyone!

First post in the new year! YAY! Anywhoo I just wanted to update you guys on my new makeup and storage collection using these acrylic cases I purchased online! I've been in need of them ever since I saw beauty gurus rave about them on youtube!

I ordered them from MUJI online and I believe that they also have a store in New York. Shipping was fast and they were pretty affordable!

The first acrylic case that  ordered was the 5 drawer acrylic case. The size is 10.2X6.9X6.3 and they are 27.95$ USD. You can find the link here! I use this drawer to store all my makeup. Initially I bought 2 acrylic drawer cases because I thought one wouldn't be enough, but actually I was wrong! I use the other drawer case (2 level acrylic casefor my jewelry). The size is 10 X 6.6 X 3.7 and the price is 25.25$ USD. You can find the 2 drawer acrylic case here! These drawers are deeper than the 5 drawer case and you can stack more makeup in them. The nice thing about these drawers is that you can stack the 5 drawer case on the 2 drawer case and it won't slip or slide (it has groves on the edges-- very cool!)

My first impressions of the drawer: Very nice and durable! Good quality cases (not the cheap flimsy ones that you find at the dollar stores). Take note that the drawers aren't that deep (You can only 2 wet n' wild eyeshadow palettes stacked up and thats it. However, you can still fit lots in each drawer! Since I don't have a ton of makeup, this drawer was enough to fit everything I owned!

Drawer level 1:

Since I love using eyeshadows on a daily basis, I put the eyeshadows up at the top. It also looks very pretty when displaying it because of all the color combinations of shadows I have. As you can see, I normally tend to grab my Naked 2 palette (and it also didn't fit in my drawers so I left this palette out).

Drawer level 2:

Here are my single eyeshadows. As you can see, I love eyeshadows! I also randomnly have my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder (The best drugstore face powder hands down!) in there since there wasn't enough room in any of the other drawers. (Which is okay, this normally is in my makeup bag! =)

Drawer level 3:

I put all my blushes, bronzers, primer, foundation and concealers in here. I recently bought the Vichy Dermablend Ultra-corrective foundation stick and I use it as a concealer and a foundation (such a great product- I will be doing a review on this product soon =0

Drawer level 4:

I love mascaras, and as you can tell, I really love the maybelline mascaras the best! Since mascaras last only ~2-3 months, I'm always buying more and more. I never only use one mascara, I always end up combining two mascaras to give me that volume and length (try maybelline cat-eyes with the maybelline falsies-- it works great on me!).

Drawer level 5:

This is where I keep all my eyeliners, eyeliner gel, lip liner, eyebrow pencil, NYX pencils and lip products. ( FYI:l'Oreal Lineur Intense is my favourite eyeliner- Very easy to use, and it's the blackest eyeliner that I own and lasts all day!)

Overall I was very pleased with the MUJI containers! They are very nicely presented, they slide in and out very nicely, very good quality for the price and the size is just right for me! For the price, I'd definitely consider buying these if you're trying to look for a cheaper alternative acrylic drawer case. Although I wouldn't really recommend these drawers for someone who has LOADS of makeup (there are other alternative drawer cases out there which are bigger and deeper, making storage easier to manage).

Price: 5/5
Durability/Quality: 5/5 (I haven't had any problems yet, so it's perfect to me!)
Size: 4/5 (I bought 2 drawers thinking it wouldn't be big enough, I was wrong!)

Overall rating: 14/15! As Eleventhgorgeous on Youtube would say, go get you sum!!

What do you guys use to organize your makeup? Let me know!

Cute and Eco-friendly BlueAvocado Lunch bag !

I picked up this new stylish lunch bag by BlueAvocado and it is super cute! It comes in two styles: Sages birds (which is the one that I got ) and in tuxedo stripe. The reason why i purchased it was because I was in desperate need of a new lunch bag to bring to work.

The lunch bag was bigger than I thought! Very roomy! Can fit can's of pop, tumblers, sandwich containers and smaller containers! It's made out of 50% recycled bottle material and Repreve, is pvc, lead and bpa free, can keep food cold for up to 6 hours, has an interior mesh pocket to store your napkins and utensils and the exterior is non toxic!

This lunch bag was produced using 3.92 recycled bottles! How cool is that!

Most lunch bags out there cost roughly around $12.99-24.99 so why not pick up a lunch bag that's stylish, cute AND eco-friendly! Also, donations of 1% of the profits go towards ocean research & conservation! I love when my purchases help towards a greater cause! I'm in love with my purchase, what do you guys think??

Until next time,

Belle eve xoxo

Winter Craving: Studded biker boots

I'm loving this year's fall/winter trend: Studded Biker Boots! So Gorgeous! The only problem is that I cannot seem to find these boots anywhere in Vancouver! I guess I'll have to order them online! Here's Selena Gomez rocking the Ash-boots. You can actually find a cheaper alternative to the ash-boots:

I LOVE THEM!

What's in my makeup bag?

I only have one really cute makeup bag (which was purchased in 2011 while on my trip to Las Vegas for $4.98) that I carry around with me (to work or when going out) and it's also what I use on a day-to-day basis!

Here it is:
Forever 21 makep bag: $4.98
It's pretty small and sort of looks like a pencil case, but nonetheless it's still does a fantastic job holding all my daily essentials, and did I forget to mention that it's REALLY CUTE! I mean, who doesn't love cupcake makeup bags anyways!

Listed below are what i'm carrying in my makeup bag (from left to right):

1. Chanel "les 4 ombres" in Premier Regard
2. Elf Kabuki Brush
3. Maybelline the turbo volume express mascara in very black
4. Shu emura eyelash curler
5. Laura Mercier eye primer in Flax
6. Laura Mercier face primer
7. Maybelline Lumi concealer in sands
8. Hard CandyFox in a box blusher in Hot flash
9. Rimmel Stay Matte powder in creamy natural
10. Rimmel moisture renew lipstick in vintage pink
11. Wet n' Wild vanity palette
12. L'oreal lineur intense eyeliner in blackest black

These are what I use on a daily basis, however the only thing that I might change up a bit is the lipstick. Oh, and I never wear foundation because I tend to always break-out when I do wear it, plus I don't like that "cakey" look.

                                                                           ****

Isn't my calendar so cute? I'm loving cupcakes of all sorts! (I got it at Michael's for only a buck!). Plus, it goes really well with my room!

I also went to ikea last weekend and pick up a few essentials for my room:

A Mulig clothing rack ($12.99) + White bumerang hangers ($6.99 for a pack of 8)
I basically bought this after watching countless beauty gurus on youtube with the same inspirational clothing rack. I noticed that it really helps me to sort out outfits for the week and it makes my room look pretty :]

A Tejn faux-fur white rug ($12.99)
Right after I layed it on the floor infront of my closet, my dog Rosy (A Shiba Inu) tested it out and loved it! (Even though it's not for her...she thinks it's her new dog mat. haha)

Kassett storage boxes in White (2 boxes for $4.99)

I decided to get these boxes to organize my electronics, stationary, clutches and jewelry that I don't often wear!

Vilshault Picture (On sale- $29)
When I saw this on sale I immediately ran over to the picture section of ikea to find the cutest one (I'm so addictive to parisian decor and I love anything with an eiffel tower on it!). I finally found it and fell in love with this picture frame! The only problem is, I don't know where to hang it in my room !

That's all folks...until next time <3

First Blog on Belle Eve

Welcome to Belle Eve! As we transition from fall to winter, I thought it'd be a great idea for me to launch my NEW blogspot! People always ask me what my favourite season is, and for most, the obvious answer would be summer. However, my favourite season for fashion, beauty, home decor & food is definitely WINTER! Not only can I rock out my fleece onesies sipping hot coco near the fire place, but it's also a time where where I can enjoy wearing a bold red lip, funky scarfs and long boots so effortlessly and let's not forget the christmas/new years parties!  Stay tuned for my next blog posting!
My favorite drink of the day: Yogi Tea - Green Tea Kabutcha (Price Smart-$6.99) with an inspirational quote on each tea bag & Olli the Owl mug (Pier One Imports-$8.00).  Yum.
